WHAT MY STUDENTS SAY:
"I’ve taken Peggy’s zoom dance class for more than a year now. It's fun and instructive. Her teaching using the theme of ocean animals makes learning to dance a bit more interesting. I find Peggy’s class is really fun and I hope you will too." -- Mike L.
"I recommend Solo Waltz & Swing Technique online dance lessons to beginners like me, or anyone who wants to improve their dance moves and have fun getting fit, from the comfort of their own home.
I look forward to Peggy’s lessons each week because she incorporates interesting and creative dance themes and builds on accessible choreography toward mastery of the spirit and steps of a complete dance.
I feel supported by how Peggy seeks always to teach at a level of complexity that is comfortable for me, the consumer.
Since beginning lessons, the past few months, I’ve also noticed the unexpected benefits of improved strength, balance, concentration, and confidence to venture out to social partner dancing in my community. I feel fortunate to be able to learn from such an excellent dance instructor as Peggy, simply by a stroke on my computer's keyboard." -- Trisha O.

What is Solo WALTZ & SWING Technique?
Get your feet moving to the basics of Waltz & Swing rhythms without the stress of partnering.
You ONLY NEED: some clear floor space, a positive attitude to get a good dance workout using ballroom dance technique.
You DON'T NEED: a partner or any dance skills or experience.
Beginner WALTZ Technique:
Learn the 6-count rhythm and graceful flow of waltzing.
Waltzing is a metaphor for carefree, delightful living, for a GOOD reason!
The smooth undulation of waltz is the closest thing to flying, with your feet on the ground.
So we start from the feet up and let that undulation expand into the rest of your body and soul.
Beginner SWING Technique:
Big, Bouncy and Bodacious, Swing is the Ultimate American dance, bubbling up from the African-inspired Jazz music of 1920s, then exploding with the Brassy Big Band music of the 1940s and mellowing into the Rock 'N Roll of the 1950s to become one of the world's funnest dances. Swing is also a 6-count basic, but with a whole different feel, sharp breaks, tossing back & forth with the coolest of moves.
So which should you choose?
Best answer: BOTH!!
You will love switching between
the bouncy energy of Swing to wake you up.
and the smoothness of Waltz to calm you down,
Opposites attract, right?
That's what makes life wonderful.
OK now what about the "Technique " part?
Yes, these are both Dance Workouts using proper ballroom technique for beginner dancers,
to keep you moving, build your strength, cardio as well as your coordination and mental refreshment.
As online sessions, you can always modify any activity according to your needs
(if it hurts, don't do it!)
This is a Follow-The-Teacher dance workout,
drawing on the wonderful treasures of ballroom technique that help your dancing feel great.
We focusing on simple footwork patterns.
Then add in other body parts, and cool moves,
You will learn a great foundation you can apply to partner dancing,
or just enjoy it for itself.

so let's do it together. Come try, You'll feel great!
